Run the Jewels may be deadly on the mic, but they’re even more dangerous behind the wheel of an ambulance. In the video for “Blockbuster Night, Pt. 1”, off the excellent Run the Jewels 2, El-P and Killer Mike are cast as the most incompetent of EMTs ever. They spend their entire shift getting high, rescuing a cat in the stupidest way imaginable, and taking a lunch break as a man has a heart attack at the next table. They also do a top-notch job patching up Black Lips’ Cole Alexander. After seeing them in action, I think we can all agree on one thing: If the pair ever roll up to your home following, say, a fall in the shower, just ask to be left their to bled out in comfort.
